Who can Chelsea sign to replace Eden Hazard?

It still remains a big if, but if Eden Hazard is allowed to leave Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu in the summer who can they sign as his replacement?

Let’s assume that somehow the Blues manage to get their transfer ban lifted because if they do not then they would be batshit crazy to sell Hazard, they should have a sackful of cash to splash out on a player comparable to the Belgium superstar.

One of the most obvious names that has to be on the list is Gareth Bale, he certainly has the talent, it is only his ability to stay injury free that would be open to question and of course, Chelsea would be in a good position to be able to negotiate some sort of swap deal with Real Madrid.

What about Christian Eriksen? you have to think no because Tottenham simply will not sell but the Dane is holding out on a new contract and Daniel Levy loves his money and so a big enough offer may well tempt the Tottenham supremo to sell but we are talking £100 Million I reckon.

There is Ousmane Dembélé but you just know Barcelona will demand a king’s ransom for the 21 -year-old but he may well be worth it when you consider his age and he is not exactly held in the same esteem at the Nou Camp like some others.

Another Barcelona player that could do a similar job to Hazard is Philippe Coutinho but his worth has dropped a bit since he left Liverpool, could he recapture the form he had when he was at Anfield? Risky I reckon

Juventus star Paulo Dybala definitely has the talent but does he have the consistency? and there is no guarantee that Juve would sanction a sale.

What about Antoine Griezmann? but he is not really a direct replacement for Hazard is he?

There are more that I could name but one thing that does strike me is that whoever Chelsea go for will cost a bloody fortune and not only that, would any of them sign for a club that may not be in the Champions League?

Probably the easiest to sign would be Coutinho and the best would be Dembélé because of his age but that is just my opinion, what is yours?
