Unai Emery talks about Man Utd before big FA Cup game

Arsenal and Manchester United meet this evening in the FA Cup and the Gunners boss Unai Emery has taken the opportunity to speak highly of tonight’s opponents.

Emery was initially asked his opinion about the sacking of Jose Mourinho and told reporters that he was not surprised because he thinks they can win with normality, which is as close as you can get to criticising the chaos that seems to follow whenever Mourinho gets to a third season with the same club.

However, Emery also went on to praise United and admitted that they are now a very dangerous team.

“This team is with big players, who want to win the Premier League. This is normal. They can be in the position to win the league, but the reality is they have lost a lot of points this season.

“But now, they are very dangerous and in a good moment. Now, this team is different. I don’t know why. But this team is different and they are playing with more confidence.”

Unai Emery acknowledges the huge change since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at Old Trafford

Emery is of course right, United are a very different team since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over, they have gone on a seven-game winning run, the team is playing with more freedom and creativity and they will give Arenal a run for their money at the Emirates tonight.

For their part, Arsenal will go into the game full of confidence, they dismantled Chelsea last week and will be looking to repeat that feat against United which sets the scene up beautifully for a classic cup game.
