Turkish giants Fenerbahce, who narrowly avoided relegation this season, are looking at Liverpool and Arsenal for players in their quest to rebuild their team.
The Turkish media are claiming that Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno and Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal are the two players that Fenerbahce is looking at.
Both Moreno and Monreal will be free agents this summer and so there will not be any sort of fee involved, however, wage demands will determine which player the Yellow Canaries go for.
Fenerbahce are very keen to sign a left back because their current one, Ismail Koybasi, is set to depart this summer and because of severe financial constraints Fenerbahce are being forced to look for free transfers whenever possible.
Moreno appears to be their prefered option and in fact, their sporting director Damien Comolli is reportedly already in talks with Moreno’s agent about a potential move.
In the event that talks fail with Moreno, Fenerbahce see Monreal as a very adequate alternative and will not be held over the barrel by the Liverpool defender when it comes to discussing terms.
Either player could definitely do a job for the fallen Turkish giants, both Moreno and Monreal bring experience with them and that will help stabilise a very porous defence.
