Tottenham Hotspur have joined Bournemouth and Watford in the race to sign highly-rated Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, according to the latest reports in the media.
According to Talksport, citing other sources, Tottenham have already sent scouts out to France to monitor the progress of the 24-year-old.
Watford and Bournemouth are said to also be interested in the French youngster and will be disappointed to hear the news that Spurs have entered the running.
Sanson, who joined Marseille from Montpellier in January 2017, is valued at €20 Million a figure well within the grasp of the three Premier League clubs, however, Tottenham have a huge advantage over Watford and Bournemouth and that is the high likelihood of champions league football next season.
Sanson has scored 16 goals and 14 assists in the two years he has spent with Marseille and a call up to the national team in the near future is an almost certainty.
Whether a deal will be completed this winter is hard to tell but it must be noted that Tottenham did not spend a single penny in the summer and if Pochettino does want to sign Sanson in January you can be assured that the chairman Daniel Levy will provide the funds required.
