If the latest Tottenham transfer rumours are to believed then they are set to go on a massive summer spending spree, according to reports in the Italian media.
Apparently, the Champions League quarter-finalists are lining up no fewer than four transfer raids on Italian clubs as soon as the transfer window opens up.
The claims are that they will be doing a double raid on Sampdoria for defenders Joachim Andersen and Lazio’s Luiz Felipe, which makes sense when you consider they are going to have to strengthen their back four with the imminent departure of contract rebel Toby Alderweireld.
They also plan an audacious swoop on AC Milan for £35 Million rated midfielder Franck Kessie and a raid on their local rivals Inter Milan for £30 Million rated Ivan Perisic
Now, imagine if the North London giants do manage to pull off signing that quartet, that is a cool £100 Million minimum they will be spending and considering all the other players they have been linked with then the bill for new players could go even higher.
Of course, they will be selling some players this summer to help finance some of these deals, but even so, we are talking huge money and for a club now weighed down with repaying the loans needed to build their awesome £1 Billion stadium you have to wonder where all this cash is coming from.
