It is starting to look very likely that Tottenham will complete their first signing in three transfer windows with the acquisition of Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
According to reports, officials from Tottenham have held meetings with representatives of Real Betis in order to hammer out a deal.
Spurs had offered £40 Million for the 23-year-old which was rejected by the La Liga side who would have to hand over 25% of any fee to PSG who had a sell on clause inserted into the player’s contract when they sold him to Betis for £25 Million.
The Argentine had a stellar season in Spain scoring 16 goals with five assists which is an excellent return for a midfielder in a team that finished tenth.
Lo Celso, who is currently on international duty with Argentina is an immense talent and would be a major coup for Tottenham and providing the young lad adapts to the English game will add significant strength to the Tottenham squad.
He will not be the only major signings for the Champions League finalists this summer as it is fully expected that they will also complete the signing of Lyon ace Tanguy Ndombele.
Signing both will turn Spurs into a serious force next season.
