Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has a huge rebuilding task ahead of him at the faltering Spanish giants and has identified one Liverpool player that he believes will assist him in that rebuild.
Zidane is keen to sign Liverpool striker Sadio Mane who has been nothing short of sensational this season and showed against Barcelona just last night that he is almost unplayable when he is on his game.
Chelsea ace Eden Hazard remains the Frenchman’s first choice, however, with the Blues transfer ban upheld by FIFA is it now unlikely that Los Blancos will be able to prise the Belgium superstar away from Samford Bridge.
That means that Zidane is now turning his attention towards alternative targets and according to reports, Mane is at the top of his list.
Apparently, Zidane had an agreement with Mane to sign for Real Madrid last year but with him leaving his post last summer that agreement went straight into the bin.
It should also be noted that there is next to no chance that Liverpool will even entertain the idea of allowing the Senegalese international to leave, not unless Real break the world transfer record because that is what it will take.
And even if Real did offer that sort of money there is no guarantee that Mane would want to leave, why should he? Liverpool is the future right now not Real Madrid.
