The new Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has been tasked with completely overhauling the fallen European giants and has been handed a £300 Million war chest, according to the Telegraph.
Zidane intends to use that transfer budget to bring in some of the top names in European football and his starting point will be Tottenham and Chelsea if all the rumours doing the rounds today are to be believed.
It seems that the French legend has decided that Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen are the two players he wants first and foremost to spearhead his summer transfer revolution.
He would have preferred to sign Neymar and Kylian Mbappe but knows that is not going to happen and the feeling in Madrid is that both Eriksen and Hazard are achievable targets.
Real have good relations with Tottenham and may go as far as offering Gareth Bale in some sort of swap deal that would involve the Spanish giants subsidizing the Welsh wizard’s wages.
Hazard may be a bit more difficult to land due to the impending Chelsea transfer ban which would deny the Blues the opportunity to replace the Belgium superstar but Real Madrid remains confident that once they table a huge offer that Hazard himself will help force a move through.
Whatever Real decide to do it is going to be a tricky summer for both Tottenham and Chelsea.
