Mo Salah to remain at Liverpool for one more year and then look at his options

Following the latest media reports, it can be confirmed that Mo Salah will not be leaving Liverpool this season but he will be keeping his options open in 12 months time.

Real Madrid and Juventus had been touted as a potential destination for the Premier League two time Golden Boot winner and it is being reported that the Egyptian international did, in fact, turn down a £150 Million move.

It was also claimed that he had a fall out with manager Jurgen Klopp which lead to even more speculation over his future with the six times European Champions.

However, it should be noted that even though Salah did reject a move he was tempted by the opportunity of signing for Real Madrid.

For his part, Klopp was aware of the interest in the 26-year-old and did discuss the situation with the board.

So, Salah is going nowhere this season but the same reports do claim he will review his status in 12 months time and while the fans at Liverpool can relax there are signs now that his long term future at Anfield is no longer certain.

The best thing Liverpool can do is either tie him down to a longer-term contract or start making plans to sell him for a huge fee at the end of the season in 2020.
