Mikel Arteta has offered Arsenal fans a positive update on his status after he was diagnosed with the coronavirus.
The Spaniard had taken the test after he felt unwell and it came back that he was positive for the virus.
His diagnosis forced the Premier League to cancel Arsenal’s game against Brighton that was scheduled for this weekend and the spread of the virus has forced the league to be suspended until April at the earliest.
Arteta became the first Premier League boss to test positive to the virus and he has been treated and remains in isolation for now.
With fans desperate to get an update on his situation, the Spaniard has taken to social media to allay fans’ fears by claiming that he is feeling better.
He even took out time to praise the Premier League for their decision to postpone the Premier League, he then revealed that he would be back to work any moment that he is allowed to.
He wrote on Twitter: “Thanks for your words and support, Feeling better already. We’re all facing a huge & unprecedented challenge.
“Everyone’s health is all that matters right now. Protect each other by following the guidelines and we’ll come through this together. Well done PL [Premier League] for making the right decisions.”
