As usual Man City are being linked with a couple of big money moves, however, they are also in a battle to hang on to one of their better young players with Real Madrid showing an interest.

£75 Million and no less

If Manchester City wants to sign Ajax and Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, they will have fork out at least £75 Million. City also faces stiff competition for the 21-year-old from Spanish giants Barcelona according to reports in the Mirror.

Real Madrid sniffing around

Barcelona is not the only Spanish club being a pain when it comes to signing new players, although this time it is about a City player signing a new contract. According to AS the European Champions want to sign midfielder Brahim Diaz, 19, and are urging him not to renew his contract with the English champions.

£44 Million replacement for Benjamin Mendy

City are reported to be very keen on signing Real Betis left back Junior Firpo who only made his first-team debut earlier this year for an eye opening £44 million.

According to a report on HITC Firpo’s is seen as an ideal replacement for Benjamin Mendy who has been sidelined with a long term injury .
