Liverpool poaching Man City and Arsenal backroom staff

Liverpool wants the best staff at every level.

Liverpool’s dominance of the English and European game in the last two years has come at a cost to their Premier League rivals after the Reds poach Arsenal’s club doctor, Gary O’Driscoll.

O’Driscoll is set to begin work at Anfield next month when Liverpool’s current doctor, Andy Massey would leave to take up a new role with FIFA.

This is not the first time Liverpool would take an important figure from Arsenal after they signed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the Gunners a few seasons back.

The Gunners are also not the only team whose medical staff would be leaving to join the Premier League champions-elect.

Talksport claims that the Reds are also set to poach Manchester City’s Steve Lilley.

Lilley joined the defending champions in 2011 and he was promoted to their first team after just two years with them.

He has been an important member of Pep Guardiola’s medical staff but he would now continue his career with the Reds.

Arsenal has been doing well under Mikel Arteta as he looks to return the Gunners to the top of English football and he would not be happy to lose important members of his playing and non-playing staff.

The Gunners would now be looking for new individuals to fill the role.
