Jurgen Klopp may be idolised at Liverpool but that does not mean he will get whatever he wants whenever he wants and that appears to be the case with the Germans desire to sign Lille star Nicolas Pepe, according to reports in France.
Apparently, the transfer committee is not too keen on the Ivory Coast international, especially with an asking price said to be €80 Million.
It is further being reported that Klopp is comfortable with selling Mohamed Salah and replacing him with Pepe ever since a reported fall out a couple of weeks ago.
Bayern Munich is also interested in the 24-year-old who has come to the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs following a stellar season in Ligue 1.
It is difficult to see how the Reds transfer committee can deny Klopp what he wants, his transfer dealings have been exceptional and to refuse him this one after the season he has had would cause tensions that the club just do not need.
Sellin Salah is fraught with risk but as Sir Alex Ferguson did at Man Utd, Klopp is determined to stamp his authority on the club even if that means selling one of their best players.
