Everton and Chelsea are on red alert following the revelations that French giants PSG are prepared to sell Belgian international Thomas Meunier this summer, according to the latest transfer gossip.
Everton are viewed as the front runners as they have been linked more positively in recent days than Chelsea, the Blues were interested in January but that interest seems to have dwindled somewhat, additionally, Chelsea may not be allowed to do any transfer business while they appeal their two window ban imposed by FIFA.
PSG are under incredible pressure from FIFA over financial fair play and are being forced to offload some of their players in order to balance the books and Meunier is considered expendable.
In fact, clubs all over Europe are starting to hover over the French Champions, player after player is being rumoured to be in play, all except Neymar and Mbappe, the two players that have in effect put PSG in their financial predicament.
If Everton, or for that matter Chelsea, do manage to land the versatile left-back it would be a bit of a coup, especially for the Toffees, Meunier is a top quality defender and would be a huge asset, the only real issue is the fee but even then, Everton and Chelsea have shown that they are prepared to splash the cash if the right player comes along.
