Chelsea are facing a two-window transfer ban and are desperate to strengthen their squad this summer before the ban kicks in and have identified Croatian midfielder Josip Vukovic as a player that they are keen to sign.
The reason that Chelsea will be able to do business this summer despite FIFA imposing the ban is because the League Cup finalists have appealed the sanction and this is why they are eager to do significant business in the summer to cover the two windows they will be unable to bring in new signings.
Chelsea has already signed Christian Pulisic who will join the club in July after he was loaned back to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season and they now want to add Maritimo ace Vukovic to their shopping list.
The Blues are not the only club interested in the services of the 26-year-old, Benfica, Leicester City, Watford, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Rangers are also reported to be monitoring the player with a view to making an offer in the summer.
Surprisingly a fee of just £4 Million is being touted as enough to tempt Maritimo to sell, however, with so many clubs showing an interest that valuation could easily go up.
