Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola could not hide his delight following his sides 5-0 demolition job on Burnley this afternoon that saw his side remain at the top of the Premier League.
There were some fantastic goals today especially the ones from Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho and Riyad Mahrez, as City made it five wins from five games at the Etihad this season.
“After we scored the second goal and third quickly it was much easier,” Guardiola said.
“The finish from Bernardo was not easy. The goals were so outstanding – beautiful, beautiful goals – and the chances we created, and it’s three more points.”
City were inspiring today, they restricted Burnley to such an extent that Sean Dyche men did not have a single shot on target all afternoon.
Burnley does have reason to moan about some of the decision making from the officials today, however, they were clearly outplayed and thoroughly deserved the beating they received.
City’s next premier league game is away to Tottenham in nine days time who will present a far more challenging game than what Burnley did today.
