Arsenal has been given a massive boost ahead of their Europa League last 32 second leg clash against Rennes with the news that Alexandre Lacazette will be available for the Gunners on Thursday.
Lacazette was initially banned for three games after being sent off against BATE Borisov following a foul on Aleksandar Filipovic last month, however, Arsenal appealed the sanction and UEFA responded by cutting the ban from three games down to two.
Uefa confirmed the reduction via a statement
“The appeal lodged by Arsenal FC has been partially upheld”,
This is excellent news for the Gunners who face a tough task of overturning a two-goal deficit from the first leg, they do have the away goal in their pocket but they still need goals and having Lacazette available is huge, he is on fire right now and gives manager Unai Emery the option of putting out more or less the same team than undid Man Utd on Sunday.
