Arsenal is determined to offload some of their older and underperforming players so that they can increase their £45 Million transfer budget and one of those players is captain Laurent Koscielny.
Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have expressed an interest in signing the French defender and according to reports, Arsenal have slapped a £10 Million valuation on the 33-year-old who has one year left on his contract.
It is very difficult to see the German outfit paying anywhere near that amount and if the Gunners are serious about selling Koscielny the chances are that they will have to lower the fee significantly.
Koscielny became a Gunner back in 2010 and has been a stalwart for them down the years, however, he is clearly no longer the player he once was and his age does not help either.
Unai Emery has to rebuild the Arsenal team in his image but the funds are simply not there for him to do it quickly, not unless he sells players fast but overpricing them is not going to help either.
One of the players that Emery is looking to bring in to replace Koscielny is St Etienne youngster William Saliba and talks are said to be at an advanced stage for the 18-year-old.
