Arsenal are set to tie down two of their best players to long terms contracts, according to the latest Arsenal news. Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be offered wage rises said to be in excess of £200,000 per week.
The Gunners new transfer policy means that any player with two years left on their contract will either have to agree on an extension or be sold, this does not apply to Lacazette who has three years remaining but it does to Aubameyang.
The two forwards were the stand out performers for last season, between them they whacked in 50 goals in all competitions with Aubameyang bagging 31 goals and Lacazette 19, in addition, they provided five and eight assists respectively.
The partnership between the pair got off to a slow start but as the season progressed they clicked and became one of the most formidable front lines in Europe.
Aubameyang has been linked with a move to China, while Lacazette has been linked to Spanish Champions Barcelona and so it was imperative that Arsenal tied the pair down as soon as possible.
This news will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans who had feared that the partnership would be broken up this summer.
