Arsenal managerial target reveals he hasn’t been offered a new deal

One time Arsenal target Nuno Espirito Santo could be on the market sooner than later.

If Arsenal ever thinks that they have seen enough of Mikel Arteta and want a new manager, the Gunners may not have to look far for one.

According to Sun Sport, Nuno Espirito Santo is yet to be offered a new deal by Wolves and the Gunners could pounce to bring him to the Emirates.

Santo was one of the leading candidates to replace Unai Emery when the Spaniard was fired, however, Arsenal knew that it would be a tough job to take him away from Wolves and they settled for Mikel Arteta instead.

Santo has continued where he stopped with Wolves last season after leading them to the Europa League. They are on target for a place in Europe next season, but have yet to offer him a new deal.

When asked if he has been offered a contract extension, Santo replied in the negative.

He said: “They haven’t. There was no proposal on that.

“I have more than a year of a contract so I don’t think about that.”

Mikel Arteta has been doing a great job at Arsenal but they have been struggling for wins recently.

The club has settled for Arteta at the moment. But they might need a change at the end of the season if the team keeps struggling to get wins.
