Arsenal learn how much they must pay for major target but face stiff competition

Arsenal are reportedly very close to making their first major summer signings and now they know exactly how much that signing will cost them.

Chinese club Dalian Yifang has apparently informed the Gunners that Yannick Carrasco will cost them a fee in the region of £25 Million.

The 25-year-old is desperate to leave China and is said to be keen on signing for Arsenal and even with a restricted budget, £25 Millon does seem a good price for the Belgium international.

Carrasco, who Unai Emery tried to take to the Emirates back in January but instead went with Dennis Suarez has reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Europa League finalists and it is now just a question of the clubs agreeing to a fee.

There is one fly in the ointment and that is Bayern Munich, the German champions are said to be interested in the Belgium international and may yet mount a last-minute bid of their own.

Bayern is on the lookout for a winger following the departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, however, Manchester City’s Leroy Sane remains their priority and as long as Arsenal move quickly they should get their man.

As it stands right now, Arsenal remains the front runners but the situation is fluid and could easily change.
