Arsenal have joined a whole host of clubs interested in signing Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico, according to sources in Spain.
Real Madrid Atletico Madrid, Man Utd and Liverpool are also reported to be interested in the 26-year-old in an ever increasing long list of potential suitors.
It is thought at this time that the Spanish duo are favourites based on comments made by Tagliafico, who has been quoted as saying that he really likes the Spanish league, however, that will not put off the Premier League trio in pursuing the Argentine.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is looking for a long term replacement for Nacho Monreal and sees the Ajax star as the ideal long term replacement for the 33-year-old Spaniard.
Tagliafico has put in high calibre performances for the Dutch giants on a consistent basis all season long, performances that have brought him to the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and a move in the summer is looking almost certain.
The problem for Arsenal, in comparison to their competitors, is that they are financially restricted and if any sort of bidding war commences, either for Ajax’s fee or the players’ personal terms, they will more than likely be left holding the wooden spoon.
