Arsenal appear to have identified a replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey, according to a report in TalkSport
The report claims that they are looking at signing Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout, who previously played with Aston Villa without much success.
Ramsey leaves in the summer to join Juventus after 11 years with the Gunners and his departure will leave a huge hole in the centre of the park, a hole that Arsenal will need to plug.
Despite not quite cutting it at Villa, Veretout has been impressive for Fiorentina this season, form that has attracted a host of clubs in Italy.
The £25 million rated playmaker has scored 13 goals in his 58 appearances for La Viola, he has not broken through to the France national team but did appear for them regularly at youth team level.
Not sure the Arsenal faithful will see Veretout as a marquee player, especially when he was not deemed good enough at Aston Villa and has never played for his country at a senior level and at 26 years of age it is difficult to see how that will change.
