Arsenal boost as Chelsea end contract negotiations with their summer target

Arsenal has been handed a major boost in their bid to sign Chelsea winger, Willian as the Brazilian reveals that his contract negotiations with the Blues have stalled as reported in the Metro.

Willian is into the final months of his current Chelsea deal and the Blues have been struggling to tie him down to a new deal.

The club reportedly offered him a new two-year contract but the Brazilian has told them that he wants a three years deal which the club has turned down.

He hopes that talks would resume but he has admitted that both parties are no longer negotiating and he is free to sign a pre-contract with another team now.

The Brazilian had earlier admitted that he would prefer to remain in London which has opened the door for him to join Arsenal or Tottenham.

Arsenal has been linked with a move for the Brazilian in the last few months as Mikel Arteta looks to add some experienced head to his team.

The two teams have been exchanging players recently and David Luiz only moved across town in the summer.

It is unclear if Arsenal would be willing to offer him the 3-year deal that he is currently asking for or if he would take a lesser deal from the Gunners.
